- Put plenty of fresh, shelled pecan halves into a large cast iron skillet.
- Dot with margarine and place into a 275 degree oven.
- Stir every 15 minutes for approximately one hour.
- Should be crisp but not burned.
- Add more margarine, if needed.
- Let cool, add salt.
- Store in cookie tin, or freeze.
- Delicious!
